it takes all of us

Serving is how we grow.

Every greeter, every sound tech, every coffee poured — someone showed up to make it happen. Serve on a team and watch how God works through you.

why serve?

Serving is a great way to make Crosstown your church home.

Some of the biggest steps people take in their faith happen while they're serving somebody else.

Belong faster

Nothing connects you to a church family quicker than serving next to the same people every week.

Grow in your faith

There's something about giving your time away that God tends to use to grow you.

Use your gifts

You already have gifts and skills — there's a team here that would be better with you serving on it!

FIND YOUR FIT

A team for every schedule.

For an hour a month to every single Sunday — pick what fits your gifts, your schedule, and the season you're in.

A Few Hours a Month

Occasional serving — think Missions trips, seasonal Decorating, or filling in on Cleaning or Building & Grounds when needed.

1-2 Sundays a Month

Rotating teams like Greeting, Hospitality, or Prayer, so you're serving regularly without it taking over your whole month.

Weekly

Teams like Worship, Sound Tech, Pro Presenter, and Roots that thrive on the same faces showing up every week.

still have questions?

Frequently asked before serving.

If you're wondering it, chances are someone asked us the same exact thing last Sunday.

Not for most teams. Every team provides hands-on training, and you'll shadow an experienced volunteer before ever serving on your own.

Totally normal — most people figure it out by trying something. Take the Spiritual Gifts Test, or just pick a team that sounds interesting.

Yes — nearly every team welcomes a trial Sunday or two before your sign up for a regular rotation. There's no pressure to commit right away.

Any team that works directly with kids or students (Kidzone, Roots) — every volunteer completes a national background check first. Other teams may required one depending on the role.

Absolutely! Many of our Roots students serve alongside adults on teams like Greeting, Worship, Kidzone, and Hospitality, often as a great next step after being in the youth ministry themselves.

Life happens — just let your team leader know. Seasons change, and stepping back for a while is always okay.
